Hello MONDAY!!!

I don’t think I hate Mondays. I used to dislike it, but these days, it doesn’t really matter. There are even times when I get confused with the days of the week. I guess it boils down to different shifts per client plus working even outside of my shift…

This particular Monday, I started early since I had a scheduled meeting (via Skype). After the meeting, I decided to just cook. 🙂 I was going to cook last night but I ended up sleeping o_O.

I decided to make Creamy Mashed Potatoes. I got this recipe while I was Stumbling (seriously, if you don’t know Stumble Upon, please get to know the app/site). As usual, I didn’t (entirely) follow the recipe of  The Pioneer Woman. Made some changes mainly because of the availability of (some) the ingredients.

I truly think that the picture does not do justice to the actual taste. Or I’m just biased.

Ahhh… I love pepper…

But wait! There’s more! I’m Filipino. I love my meat. So aside from the Creamy Mashed Potatoes, I made Chili Con Carne. And yes, I also got the recipe when I was Stumbling and yes I made changes to the recipe. For the original recipe, check out My Glorious Food.

My version turned out to be extra hot! Instead of putting chili powder, I used chili flakes. And lots of it! My mouth was on fire! But still managed to eat a lot. *burp*

Thinking about posting what I did different with the two recipes… Will add those later… Feeling lazy.

I know that I rarely post pictures of myself in this blog, so my apologies for this post. 😀 BUT! My excuse is my daughter.

Sunday morning pictures with my daughter, Ysabel Angela. We fondly call her Bela. And NO, not because of the Twilight franchise. The first time I watched the movie (and heard about it) was November 2009. My daughter was born December 2007. So there. I just felt that I needed to explain.

Seems like my baby is already a ‘little girl’. The other day she was singing the intro of Lady Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’. I was like –> o_O, wondering who taught her the song. Then she asks me, “Ma, do you know Lady Gaga?”. I was like ‘whaaaaaaat???’. Anyway, I had no clue she even knew Lady Gaga. Then I found out my niece taught her the song and ‘introduced’ her to Lady Gaga.

I can’t believe that she’ll be in kindergarten in a few days… She’s growing up way too fast. I should probably start blogging FOR her. Just need to figure out how to use menus here in WP.

I envy people who can sleep immediately. Like after 5 minutes, they’re already in Dreamland. I, on the other hand, have to wait for sleep. Most of the time it takes an hour before I start dozing off.
So today my friend suggested I take Sleep Well. It contains melatonine (I think! Will research later) that would help me sleep.
I took the supplement 15 minutes back and I think I’m already groggy.
